Holiday Music Practices

Every Tuesday and Thursday now up until December 14th.
Time: Afterschool until 5:30pm.

Greensboro Christmas Parade Saturday, December 4th
Timeline:
• 9:30am~arrive at SGHS to dress and load trailer
• 10:40am~ leave for Greensboro Parade
• 11:00am~arrive in Greensboro
• 12pm~ Greensboro Parade begins
• 2pm~ Greensboro Parade ends
• 1:30pm- 2:00 pm*~ bus arrives back to Southern
*Please know that this schedule is tentative, we may be back at Southern sooner or later than the time listed. There will be phones available to students to contact home if needed.

December Basketball Games:

A Band Games Dates:
Tuesday, November 30th
Tuesday, December 14th

B Band Games Dates:
Tuesday, December 7th
Friday, December 17th

*These games are required for students to attend. All percussion and guard are required to come to all games. The wind players are split into two bands. The list of members are up on my door. If you are unable to attend a game you are responsible for you must find a replacement. Members from both bands are welcome to come to all games. On game days band members need to wear their Band Polos to play in the pep band.

Varsity Girls games start at 6pm. We play for all of the girl games and the first half of the boy games which is around 8:30-9pm that night. Most games occur on practice days so students need to have money for concessions for dinner or bring dinner to eat. I have some drinks and chips leftover from the hotdog cookout that students can snack on between practice and the games.

December Fundraisers:

Applebess’s Flapjack Fundraiser Breakfast

When: Saturday, December 18th 7:30am-10am
Raise: Students sell tickets for $7 and make money towards trip off of each ticket sold. Sales began last week and go until December 16th. Must sell 100 tickets to go through.  So far no one has brought in money…

Also we are pairing up with the Chorus at the December 16th concert to sell raffle tickets for a $200 door prize. More info to come soon about selling tickets.

I think I covered all the information I have right now. I will send out the parent trip ticket prices by the end of the week. Parent chaperone tickets prices are less than student tickets.

The next booster meeting is next Monday, December 6th at 7pm. I look forward to seeing you all again!
