Spring 2011 News & Disney Photos/Video

Here are some upcoming events going on:

Thursday April 14th we are performing at the Pep Rally in the Gym for the rising Freshman.  Pep band members need to be in the band room by 6pm.  They should wear their Band Polos.

West Side Rehearsals in April have been moved to Mondays only for brass and woodwinds.

The mandatory marching band interest meeting will be Monday, May 2 at 7pm in the Band Room.  All students and parents who are interested in next year’s band should attend.  I need to get the numbers next year to the drill writer before school lets out so I need everyone there. 

The next Pizza Inn night is Monday, May 9th.  After spring break I will put up a sign up sheet on my door.  This fundraiser will be strictly to raise money for a new Sousaphone.  The Pizza Inn has been remodeled and looks great so hopefully we can get more business.  Remember we get 10% of total sales that night and all the tips.  Students should wear their show shirts and SMOD pants (Pizza Inn rules not mine). 

May 19-20th is West Side Story Performance

May 24th-27th: Spring Marching Band Camp, Drum Line Auditions, and Color Guard Auditions 4pm to 5pm, Leadership training  5pm-6pm. 

May 31st Spring Band Concert and Awards 7pm in the Auditorium.  Students should arrive at 6:15pm and wear a white top and black bottom. It is mandatory for all concert band students and a performance grade. 

Saturday, June 11th Graduation.  Students should arrive at 5:15pm to the Special Events Center at the Greensboro Coliseum with their instrument.  This is mandatory for all concert band members.  It counts as their final exam. Students should wear concert black and white.  No jeans, t- shirts, tank tops, or shorts.

Disney Trip
