Yesterday at practice I gave several updates to the band and I wanted to remind/ share them with you:

- I NEED all Attraction Books back that you are not going to sell/buy THIS WEEK.  I have several students waiting on books that are checked out.

-We have a game this Friday, September 16th.  It will be like last week; we will practice after school until 5:15pm and have dinner in the cafeteria annex at 5:30pm.  This week we are having Hot Dogs, Chips, and a Drink.  Like last week families are invited to eat with us.  At 6:15pm we will clean up and start getting dressed.  WE ARE WEARING UNIFORMS!

- Band members need to remember to bring their black socks and marching shoes, any t shirt ( not tank tops) and shorts to wear under uniform (remember it will get hot so don’t wear long pants underneath).

-Guard members need to remember their body tights, black shoes, and that their uniforms are white so be careful when sitting and eating.

-Saturday we have practice to prepare for Monday’s Jamboree.  Guard is meeting earlier than the band, I think at 7am.  The band will meet from 8:15am and practice for everyone will end at 12pm. It’s our last chance to fix everything we can before the festival so it is VERY important for all students be in attendance. 

-Monday is the GCS Jamboree.  Tickets are $8 at the gate.  You can still buy tickets online at http://kidsvotingmarchingbandfestival.eventsbot.com/ and order tickets under Southern Guilford High School until Saturday, September 17th.

-I will send a separate email about the Jamboree.

-If you still owe money from Dues, T-shirts, Past Fundraisers, Polo’s, Warm Up, please use your band bucks by filling out the band buck form, or pay by check, money order, or cash. We have some big bills due this month and we are close to going to a negative balance because of unpaid dues.
