Itinerary

Friday, March 23rd
7:30 am – Buses arrive
8 am – Depart for Washington, DC
3 pm – Check in hotel or visit DC attraction
5:30 pm – Dinner at Hard Rock Café
7 pm – Monuments & Memorial tour with guide
10 pm – To hotel

Saturday, March 24th
7 am – Breakfast at the hotel
8:30 am – Depart for Washington
9 am – Step-on guide for tour of Washington
Lunch on your own
2 pm – Free time to visit the Smithsonian’s (or performance on the Capitol steps)
5:30 pm – Dinner at Armand’s Pizza
7:30 pm – Admission to 1776 The Musical at Ford’s Theatre
10:30 pm – To hotel

Sunday, March 25th
7 am – Breakfast at the hotel
10 am – Tour of Kennedy Center (Group 1)
10:30 pm – Tour of Kennedy Center (Group 2)
Lunch on your own
TBA – Performance at the Capitol – pending confirmation
7 pm – Dinner Dance cruise with DJ aboard Spirit Cruises
10:30 pm – To hotel

Monday, March 26th
7 am – Breakfast at the hotel (morning activity before departure a possibility)
8:30 am – Depart for home

The APPROXIMATE total cost of the Band Trip per student is $430.  This figure is based on a participation of 40 band and chorus students.

 The cost of the trip may go up or down by a small amount depending on the number of students participating and potential (but unlikely) fuel surcharges charged by the bus company.

 If for any reason the student cancels their participation on this trip, I understand that monies will be forfeited.

It is also my understanding that any monies contributed towards this trip through fundraising are non-refundable.

Special arrangements of deadlines will be considered by the band director and Booster Board if the need should occur.  Failure to communicate verbally and in writing will result in forfeiture of funds and the above named student will be excluded from participating in this trip.

The band director may deny participation in this event.  Denial on the basis of disciplinary action shall result in forfeiture of all deposits and fundraising

I also acknowledge that if for any reasons of inappropriate behavior, my child must be sent home early from the trip; I am responsible for the cost of transportation

Payment Schedule: 

  • Oct 21              $25.00 NON-REFUNDABLE Deposit (must be cash/check/credit card payment) *
  • Nov 17              $75.00 NON-REFUNDABLE Deposit (must be cash/check/credit card payment)
  • Jan 15              $165.00 (fundraising funds can be used)
  • Feb 15              $165.00 (fundraising funds can be used)

Estimated Total:           $430.00  this is based on a Quint Room (5 people)

* This has changed because Mrs. Lawson and I received the contract on Tuesday and the Travel Agent forgot to mention that the first deposit was due on the 21st to cover the cost of the 1776 theater tickets.  This must be paid by the 21st! We need it to ensure that everyone will have a spot to watch the play.
