Concert Band is off to an exciting start. Southern is long over due for a superior rating from state contest.  Mrs. Batts has made it her goal to start a new tradition of superiority.  During the semester, guest clinicians are scheduled to come and listen to our ensemble and give us advise on how to sound even better! Check out the Recordings Page to hear some of the compositions that we will be performing.

Concert Dates:

• March 17th ~ 6:30pm Dinner and A Show at Community Baptist Church- 1330 Burnetts Chapel Rd- Down the road from Southern
• March 31st-April 2nd~ Band Trip to Disney World
• April 6th – 7th ~ All County Band Clinic and Concert * not required for all members*
• May 19th and 20th~ West Side Story Production; band members needed to play in the pit. Rehearsals will begin at the end of February
• May 31st~ Spring Concert, required for all members!!! In SGHS Auditorium @ 7pm
• June 11th ~ 6pm at the Greensboro Coliseum *** BE THERE NO LATER THAN 5PM!
