Good news and bad…

Good News:

Amy Cutchin was an alternate for All District Band.  One of the trombone players dropped out so now Amy has made the band! That means on Friday, January 27th Amy will be going to the clinic at Sanderson High School in Raleigh.  The concert will be Saturday night at 7pm in the auditorium.

Bad News:

Because Mr. Arno and I are chaperoning the trip, we will not be able to have a pep band/guard at the game.  I am very proud of how you have been handling yourselves at the games; much better than last year.  I wish we could do it again but I have a conflict with All County Band Auditions on February 7 and will not be able to do the game that day either.

I really have enjoyed this year and I look forward to next year.  I promise more games next year as long as the attitudes and behaviors are good.

Unfortunately, due to a shortage of venders for the Community Craft and Yard Sale scheduled for December 17th, we have made the decision to not host the event this year. If you have already paid for your booth, we will refund your payment and send a check to the address you placed on your entry forms next week.

Alternatively, if you would like for us to accept the fee as a charitable donation, please let me know so I will gladly send you a nonprofit tax receipt.

I thank you for your interest and support of the SGHS Band.
